Assistant Professor - Academic Clinician- Cutaneous Oncologist (Early Detection of Pigmented Lesions)
Job Description
The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of non-invasive diagnosis and surveillance of pigmented lesions. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in the field of Dermatology with focus on cutaneous oncology and skin cancers at increased risk for recurrence or metastasis. Expertise in non-invasive diagnosis and surveillance of pigmented lesions is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents in dermatology and other specialties caring for skin cancer; fellows in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology; medical students; trainees rotating from other countries or institutions.
Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and treatment of patients with skin cancer, particularly those with a high-risk of recurrence or metastasis. Clinical responsibilities will focus on patients in the Penn Dermatology Oncology Center's specialty clinics, including the Pigmented and Lesion Clinic, the Rare and Inherited Skin Cancer Clinic, and the High-Risk Skin Cancer for Organ Transplant Recipients and immunosuppressed Patients.
