Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of Theater

The Arts Program in Theater at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Open Rank (assistant professor, associate professor, or professor) position in Playwriting or Dramaturgy to begin August 1, 2026. Successful applicants will have a primary teaching interest in theater, with a record of professional productions as a playwright or dramaturg; additional expertise in directing either professionally or in higher education is desirable. Expertise in filmmaking or theater history is also advantageous. Responsibilities include teaching the core undergraduate curriculum in support of the theater program, overseeing thesis work, and directing one production a year. Candidates must have completed the requirements for a MFA in Playwriting or Dramaturgy or a Ph.D. in Theater with relevant expertise and teaching experience at the college level by the start date.
