The Department of Chemistry at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Chemistry to begin in Fall 2026. We seek to hire an outstanding scholar with research and teaching interests in the area of Computational Chemistry. Applicants with expertise in machine learning as it is applied in chemistry (broadly defined) are especially encouraged to apply. The candidate will be expected to build a research program that involves both PhD students and undergraduates, and is able to attract external funding. While the specific research area is open, it should complement existing efforts in the department. Candidates will be expected to teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate Chemistry courses as well as graduate courses in their area of expertise. Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, and postdoctoral training or the equivalent is desirable.

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $109,068-$121,187, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
