Job Description Summary:
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is recruiting an Assistant Professor with expertise in the respiratory field and acute/chronic lung injury.
Job Description:
Job Duties Outlined
- Conduct respiratory basic/translational research, acute/chronic lung injury, as Principal/Co-Investigator.
- Train and educate students, residents, fellows, and faculty in a research setting.
- Obtain extramural/internal grant funding to support laboratory/research team.
- Mentoring and evaluating students, fellows, and faculty, as well as participating in weekly lectures and discussion groups.
- Representation of the University at national and international conferences, through scholarly contributions, such as lectures and poster presentations, and presentation of research results throughs publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications
Education:
PhD, MD or equivalent.
Work Experience:
3 years of experience in basic/translational research in respiratory field.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
5 years of experience in basic/translational research in respiratory field.
Extramural grant funding.
Leading a laboratory in basic/translational research.
