The Department of Art & Art History seeks to hire a career-line instructor of non-major studio courses to teach on the University of Utah's Asia Campus (UAC) in Incheon, Korea. The successful candidate will have at least one-year of teaching experience at the college level and will possess a terminal degree in an area of Studio Art with preferred experience in painting, drawing, and ceramics. This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track position that requires relocation to South Korea. The appointment will be for the 2026-2027 academic year and is renewable upon review. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must be eligible for a work visa for South Korea. Salary is commensurate with experience. All full-time employees are provided a health benefit plan. Housing is provided for UAC employees with an E-1 or a F-4 Korean Visa. Some personal and professional travel expenses are provided by the UAC.

Required qualifications

  • M.F.A. or other terminal degree in studio art with an emphasis in painting and drawing preferred
  • Evidence of successful college-level teaching in studio art
  • An active record of creative work, evidence of which may include professional credits
  • Ability to teach effectively in English
