Description

The Department of Neurology at the Yale School of Medicine seeks to hire a neurohospitalist with at the rank of Assistant Professor to complement our services at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT and Greenwich Hospital, Greenwic, CT. Rank will be based on education and experience.

The position is composed of 24 service weeks (Monday – Sunday) and will include evaluation and management of the whole spectrum of neurological disorders in the emergency department, the intensive care units, as well as on the medical and surgical floors. We anticipate faculty applicants to be dedicated to excellence in patient care, the highest quality and safety standards, as well as education of the next generation of neurologists. The position offers applicants an exciting opportunity for individual programmatic development and goal discovery across varied clinical or academic interests within our department.

The neurohospitalist will join the ladder faculty at Yale School of Medicine and a team of general and subspecialty-trained neurologists providing advanced neurologic care using a patient-centered multidisciplinary approach. We provide a highly collaborative, supportive, and mentored environment that promotes specialists to pursue career growth within their specific area of interest. The clinical team reviews its experience and discusses challenging cases in weekly conferences and seminars and refines its approach through shared quality and safety endeavors.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be board certified/ board eligible in Neurology, and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Connecticut.
