Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics - Consumer Marketing and Experimental Economics
The successful candidate will be expected to: 1) develop a nationally-recognized research program focusing on consumer marketing and experimental economics. This program could include using experimental economics and/or big data techniques to analyze areas such as food and agricultural product marketing, agricultural policies (e.g., food labeling), consumer behavior, food/agricultural product retail prices and pricing strategies, and consumer demand; 2) teach graduate or undergraduate courses in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics; 3) publish in high quality disciplinary and multidisciplinary journals; 4) acquire extramural funding; 5) mentor and supervise students; and 6) participate in service activities of the Department, College, University, and profession. The expected start date is August 1, 2026.
(9-month tenure-track, 75% Research, 25% Teaching)
Ph.D., or ABD with an expected completion date before August 1, 2026, in agricultural economics, economics, or a closely related field; excellent communication skills; ability to work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.
