Assistant Professor of Cell Biology

The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is offering full-time, faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. Successful candidates will have a strong track record of impactful science and compelling plans for building a creative research program within the broad fields of molecular, cellular, developmental, or neurobiology. The Department is particularly interested in applicants taking multidisciplinary approaches to investigate cellular metabolism and organelle biology. Investigators developing new, innovative techniques to study cells, including methods for quantitative imaging, metabolic characterization, lipid metabolism in disease, and high-throughput visual or small molecule screening, are encouraged to apply. Candidates focused on exploring neurodegenerative mechanisms beyond omics-based profiling are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and have experience in a related field.

Faculty in the Department of Cell Biology participate in a vibrant, interdisciplinary, and highly collaborative research community. We seek bold scientists that are using leading edge, multidisciplinary approaches to answer fundamental and/or translational questions about cells and development.
