- PhD in Composition or First Year Writing; ABD candidates nearing completion of degree will be considered.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Investment in a research agenda in the field.
- Active engagement in service activities.
- Commitment to supporting students from a wide range of educational backgrounds.
Preferred Basic Qualifications:
- Experience or expertise in writing program leadership.
- Experience in curriculum development and program development.
- Strategies for student retention.
- Demonstrated scholarly activity in the field.
- Additional qualifications in Professional Writing or English as a Second Language a plus.
