Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Alabama) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Exercise Science to begin Fall 2026. This is a tenure-track position, requiring a 24-credit hour teaching load (typically four courses per semester) of face-to-face teaching of a range of courses contributing to majors in Exercise Science, Sport Management, and Physical Education, plus requirements in student advising, service, and scholarly activity. Initial teaching load is expected to be in Applied Anatomy and Physiology, but applicants should be prepared to speak to their fitness to teach anything in the area of Sport Science and Physical Education.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching, especially in teaching first-year college students, and a strong commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism. Required Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology or related. Master’s-prepared candidates and ABDs nearing completion may be considered for an instructor-level position; an appointment to the tenure track requires a terminal degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching at the university/college level, especially Applied Anatomy and Physiology.
• Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification.
• Competence in multiple areas highly preferred.
