Job Description
Assistant Professor of Management with a Healthcare focus. Teach and develop undergraduate and/or graduate courses as needed and contribute to the achievement of department goals which include: Providing instruction in management and related concentrations including healthcare operations or delivery management, healthcare administration, operations and supply chain management, leadership, strategy, organizational behavior, human resources management, or related topics. Providing an effective learning environment for student success in person, online synchronous or asynchronous, hyflex modalities, and through accelerated online courses. Developing and enhancing school curriculum and programs, learning outcomes assessment and continuous improvement. Contributing to student growth and development such as student advising. Serving on committees at the department, school, and university levels. Assisting the school in maintaining accreditation: conducting student learning assessments, meeting ongoing research requirements, and serving on school accreditation committee as needed. To be considered for tenure, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to: teach and/or perform assignment effectively, produce a record of scholarly or creative achievement or research, continue preparation and study, contribute to student growth and development, and provide service to the University and community.
Salary Range
$64,963.00 - $188,620.00 annually
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in Management or related field from an AACSB accredited business school university. Advanced ABDs will be considered (must be able to show proof of doctoral degree by appointment date).
- Evidence of recent publications in peer-reviewed journals. ABDs and new doctoral graduates may use conference presentations and/or current working papers, as evidence of their ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Healthcare related field experience or research stream.
- Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- An earned Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited business school/University with graduate and/or undergraduate teaching experience at the university level.
- Evidence of publications in healthcare management related areas (i.e. healthcare operations, healthcare delivery, healthcare administration, healthcare information management, other related areas)
- Senior Management level healthcare related field experience
- Experience engaging students in experiential learning through realworld projects.
- Experience developing online courses.
Other Requirements
As part of the interviewing process, candidates invited to an on campus interview will be required to demonstrate teaching effectiveness and to present a current research project. The interview, teaching, and research presentations will be evaluated by the Search Committee and other program faculty. Please note that successful applicants must be eligible to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment. Eligibility includes being a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or a foreign national authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship. Employees must maintain work authorization without sponsorship for the duration of their appointment.
