Position: Assistant Professor of Marketing
Effective Date: August 17, 2026 (Fall Semester)
Salary Range: The Assistant Professor AY 2025-26 classification salary is $74,652 to $158,688/year ($6,221 to $13,224/per month). The anticipated hiring range is $131,000 to $141,000/per year ($10,916 to $11,750/per month). Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position focused on consumer behavior, starting in Fall 2026.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or a closely related field from AACSB accredited or equivalent schools by August 1, 2026.
- Demonstrated potential for effectiveness and excellence in teaching marketing courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated potential for research and publications in consumer behavior and its marketing applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student population, including low socioeconomic and first-generation students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Peer-reviewed articles published or under review in high-quality academic journals in consumer behavior.
- Evidence of effective teaching experience in Marketing at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to service contributions to the department, college, university, and community.
- Experience mentoring students with minoritized identities or using inclusive teaching strategies.
Duties:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing (in-person, hybrid, online, or combinations).
- Engage in research leading to publications and presentations in Marketing.
- Participate in curriculum and program development, keeping content current.
- Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community.
