Position Overview
The Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time, tenure stream position in Nursing at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold an entry-to-practice degree in nursing (BScN or MN).
- Hold a PhD in nursing or a related discipline by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter.
- Be eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Demonstrate excellence in research and teaching.
- Have experience working with, teaching, mentoring, or supervising diverse groups or students.
- Demonstrate the ability to contribute to fostering diversity on campus and within the curriculum or nursing profession.
Research Expectations
The successful candidate will:
- Pursue innovative and independent research.
- Establish a competitive, externally funded research program.
- Demonstrate research excellence through publications in top-ranked, field-relevant journals, research statements, conference presentations, awards, and strong referee endorsements.
Teaching Expectations
Evidence of teaching excellence may include:
- Teaching accomplishments and a comprehensive teaching dossier.
- A statement of teaching philosophy.
- Sample course materials.
- Teaching evaluations or other evidence of high-quality teaching.
- Experience as a teaching assistant, course instructor, workshop or seminar leader, student mentor, or presenter at conferences.
Salary
CAD $130,000 – $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Negotiations beyond this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
