Position Overview
CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania are seeking a highly motivated, independent researcher to join the Division of Cancer Pathobiology and the Center for Childhood Cancer Research (CCCR). The candidate will establish an independent, extramurally funded research program in experimental oncology, leveraging CHOP’s clinical resources and Penn’s collaborative research environment.
Research Focus
Candidates may focus on areas including, but not limited to:
- Functional cancer genomics and transcriptomics
- Genome editing, metabolism, and proteomics
- Chemical biology and precision medicine
- Cancer immunotherapy
- Genome integrity, mRNA metabolism, non-coding RNAs, tumor evolution, and cancer neoantigens
Expectations:
- Demonstrate intellectual independence and leadership potential through postdoctoral or fellowship accomplishments
- Maintain a productive, extramurally funded research program
Teaching Responsibilities
- Train postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and medical students
- Provide an outstanding educational environment in the laboratory

Qualifications
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree
- Postdoctoral or fellowship experience demonstrating significant accomplishments and independence
