Assistant Professor of Practice
The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Liberal and Fine Arts and the Department of Communication invites applications for the position of Full-time Assistant Professor of Practice.
Position Summary
UTSA's Department of Communication seeks a Fixed-Term Track (non-tenure) Assistant Professor of Practice to teach online asynchronous Public Speaking classes. These classes explore theory and practice of speaking in formal settings. Emphasis on preparation, adaptation, and delivery of oral and visual presentations, as well as written analysis of historical speeches.
Qualifications
- M.A./M.S. or equivalent in Communication or a related field.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Available to teach in-person classes in the future, as well as other basic communication courses (e.g. Foundations of Communication and Communication Theory).
Salary Range: Up to $45,050 commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications
