Position Details

Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:

Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the discipline of Animal Science with possible courses in Animal Behavior, Animal Care & Welfare, Disaster Planning, Animal Legal Issues and Small Animal Training. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate and graduate programs. Nine month appointment with the opportunity for summer employment available.

Educational Requirements for the Position:

An earned Master of Science in Animal Science, or closely related field, from an accredited University. Evidence of actual or potential success in university teaching, research and service. ABD candidates will be considered but must be completed with their degree by the start of the position.

Experience Required for the Position:

Documented experience and ability to teach college level courses in Animal Science, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Must have demonstrated previous and current animal science industry involvement and youth outreach service.

Other Requirements for the Position:

Position will begin September 01, 2026. This is 100% teaching with service activities required for promotion and merit pay increases.
