Assistant Professor of Practice in Film Theory
The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Liberal and Fine Arts and the Film/Media program invite applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Practice.
The successful candidate will teach one section of Film Theory, providing an introduction to film aesthetics and a critical vocabulary of film terminology, through a survey of major film theorists and/or theories or close study of individual theories or theorists.
This is a temporary position with an expected end date of 12/2026. This position may be extended or shortened based on availability of funds and/or departmental need.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree in a relevant field, e.g., Film Studies, English, Languages, Aesthetics, New Media, etc.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
