Job Description Summary:

The University of La Verne’s Department of Theatre Arts invites applications for a full-time, ten-month, Tenure-track position. This position will begin with the 2025-2026 academic year. The areas of specialization include teaching courses in (a) Acting, Voice, and Movement at all levels, (b) Dramatic Literature, (c) and directing productions in the Department of Theatre Arts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications include a terminal degree (Ph.D. or M.F.A.) in a relevant theatre discipline; demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching; record of professional work in Acting and familiarity with a variety of techniques; experience in Directing; record of commitment to serving a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise and ability to teach Voice and Movement for the actor; experience or potential in teaching other areas of theatre study (e.g. Applied Theatre, Musical Theatre, Dance, Theatre History, Indigenous Literature); Experience and competency in directing. This colleague will contribute to the ongoing dialogue and efforts to best serve a diverse student community through efforts in both curricular, including general education courses, and production activities.

Maximum: $81,844
