Assistant Professor of Voice

Job Details

The Lebanon Valley College Department of Music invites applications for the position of assistant professor of voice beginning in August 2026. This is a full-time, nine-month, three-year renewable position with potential for tenure-track conversion after the initial renewal period.

Candidates should be experienced performers and educators, prepared to teach courses in song interpretation, song literature, and diction, as well as private voice lessons for both majors and non-majors in a variety of styles, including classical, musical theatre, and contemporary commercial music. Candidates should have functional piano skills for the private studio. The successful candidate will also work to support the growth of the department’s opera and musical theatre programs.

SA voice is preferred, though TB voices will be strongly considered. The department seeks a colleague who is eager to contribute to the continued success and future development of a nearly 50-student voice area, known for producing graduates who excel as performers, educators, and arts leaders.

Qualifications include a minimum of a master’s degree, demonstrated performance ability, and evidence of a collaborative and student-centered teaching philosophy. Applicants should submit: a cover letter addressing professional experience, professional interests in teaching, and ability to meet job requirements; a curriculum vitae/résumé; two current video performances and the contact information for three professional references. Please submit all materials through Career Center | Recruitment. Review of candidate materials will begin February 1 and continue until the position is filled.

Lebanon Valley College is committed to excellence through its employment practices and welcomes applicants with exceptional qualifications, particularly those with demonstrable commitments to a more inclusive society and world. The College is committed to recruiting and supporting a diverse student body, faculty and staff and promotes a culture of accountability, student centeredness, professionalism, inclusiveness, respect, and empowerment.
