In particular, VAPAE is now interested in meeting qualified candidates to teach its Arts Ed 20: Introduction to Community Engagement through the Arts course in the Spring 2026 quarter.
This course provides an introduction to the fields of community engagement and community arts informed by the core philosophies of the progressive education and social justice movements. Applicants should be interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary in their approach to teaching the arts, familiar with culturally responsive pedagogies, and have experience working in the fields of arts education, activism and community engagement. Applicants must submit course proposals and accompanying syllabi that pertain to and/or support the themes and topics as described above.
