Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities: The Psychology Department at Southern Connecticut State University invites applications for, FULL-TIME, TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR appointment beginning Fall 2026. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Psychology (open specialization). The candidate will be expected to teach courses within their psychology specialization at the undergraduate and graduate level, along with courses that meet departmental needs. The position has a 12-hour credit load per semester, which includes credit for supervising student research and undergraduate and graduate theses. All faculty members contribute to student advising and both departmental and university service.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. or expect to complete the degree by August 1st, 2026; an active and productive research program; ability to involve students in their research; and ability to mentor undergraduate and graduate student research. Specific research emphasis is open.

Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of ability to teach effectively.
