Assistant Professor, Supply Chain and Operations Management
Position Summary
The Department of Operations Management & Strategy in the School of Management at the University at Buffalo (State University of New York, SUNY at Buffalo) invites applications for full-time tenure-track Assistant Professors (10-month) in Supply Chain and Operations Management (multiple positions available).
The appointment will begin in August 2026. Job duties will include the following:
- Candidates are expected to pursue high-quality research and have a strong commitment to the development of the Department’s academic programs at undergraduate, MBA, MS, and Ph.D. levels, in terms of teaching and leadership.
- Candidates are expected to contribute to university-wide interdisciplinary research and support the educational mission of the UB RENEW Institute and the Institute for Sustainable Transportation & Logistics.
- Initial teaching duties will be introductory undergraduate and graduate operations management courses.
The successful candidate will have:
- Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. degree in Operations Management, Management Science, or a related field.
- Strong consideration will be given to applicants that have demonstrated a clear and strong potential for high quality scholarly research.
- Applicants should have experience conducting research in the domain of Supply Chain and Operations Management.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
