Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Cognitive Neuroscience (26-27)
The Departments of Neuroscience and Psychology at DePaul University are pleased to invite applications for a full-time joint tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin September 1, 2026. The primary appointment will reside in the Department of Neuroscience.
The successful applicant will establish an active independent research program that includes undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include Introductory Neuroscience and Physiological Psychology courses and an upper-level course in Cognitive Neuroscience. The candidate will also be asked to develop upper-level courses in their area of expertise along with the opportunity to teach courses in the Liberal Studies Program. In addition to teaching and research activities, the faculty member will participate in service opportunities while contributing to both the Department of Neuroscience and the Psychology Department. Dedicated research space and startup funds will be available.
About the College: The College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. The college includes departments/schools of biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, environmental science and studies, health sciences, mathematical sciences, neuroscience, nursing, physics and astrophysics, psychology, and rehabilitative sciences and professions. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a PhD and be broadly trained in cognitive neuroscience with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Outstanding candidates from any specialization within cognitive neuroscience will be considered. Research can range from human subjects to invertebrate systems, but a preference is for individuals whose focus is more systems/behavioral as opposed to cellular/molecular. A preference will be given to candidates with specializations that complement and expand on current areas of expertise in the departments.

Salary Information: The salary range for this 10-month position is $75,000 - $78,400, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
