Offer Description

The post of an assistant tutor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, teaching classes in computer networks on the Cisco platform in the field of Computer Science first- and second-cycle programmes.

Your duties will include:

1. Comstant improvement in your professional skills.
2. Teaching and educating students.
3. Conducting classes that are properly prepared in terms of content and methodology in the agreed duration, on the dates set in the class schedule, using the instruments and equipment available at the University.
4. Developing teaching forms and verification methods of learning outcomes taking into consideration students’ opinions expressed in students’ surveys in which students assess teachers.
5. Developing and updating syllabi for courses and making them available to students.
6. Conducting exams and students’ evaluation.
7. Mentoring diploma theses in accordance with the field and specialty of studies and your own competences, including proposing the topics of diploma theses and checking these works in the anti-plagiarism system.
8. Reviewing diploma theses.
9. Participation in commissions conducting diploma examinations.
10. Holding consultations for students for at least 2 hours a week.
11. Informing students, in the first class, of the goals, contents, compulsory and complementary reading list, rules of assessment, verification of learning outcomes, testing and obtaining a final grade.
12. Preparing teaching aids, including academic textbooks, texts of multimedia presentation and other aids necessary to teach your class.
13. Participation in writing study programmes for new fields of study.
14. Collecting and storing, in accordance with applicable regulations, documentation confirming that students have achieved the learning outcomes assumed in the program.
15. Caring for providing high quality teaching and compliance with the internal system of educational quality.
16. Supporting professional placement of students in terms of knowledge.
17. Participation in the work of faculty and university commissions and collective bodies whose member you are.
18. Involvement in organising conferences, symposia, workshops, research societies, cultural and sporting events, etc.
19. Organisational activities outside the University.
20. Initiating cooperation with outside institutions.
21. Initiating measures to secure funding for teaching activities, including identifying and reporting to the University authorities opportunities to secure funding for teaching activities from external sources.
22. Performing other activities ordered by the superior, necessary for the proper functioning of the University.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

1. Meeting the requirements specified in the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023 , item 742, as amended).
2. Knowledge of Polish and English at a level enabling teaching.
3. Master's degree in technical IT and telecommunications.
4. Competence to teach computer networks at the Cisco platform.
5. Possession of a valid Cisco CCNA certificate.
6. Completion of the course for CCNA CISCO Networking Academy Instructor or a promise to complete such course until February 28, 2027.
7. At least 5 years of teaching experience in the speciality in question.

Specific Requirements
