Pursuant to Articles 32(1)(19), and 77 of the Faculty Statutes, the Faculty Council of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science (hereinafter: the PMF) announces the following
C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S
for appointment of an
associate to the associate category I position – assistant in natural sciences, the field of mathematics, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis, to work on the IRI S3 project: Development of an innovative platform for the prediction and prevention of hazardous events using mathematical modeling and simulation in a data-rich industrial environment, at the PMF, Department of Mathematics - 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, the applicants must satisfy the conditions set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/2022).
Applicants should enclose with their application:
- a CV;
- relevant diploma or certificate attesting to the required level of academic qualifications;
- transcript of academic records of the university undergraduate, graduate or integrated programmes;
- proof of citizenship (a photocopy of the certificate of nationality or identity card).
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- to have completed a graduate university study programme in mathematics/an integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme in mathematics and physics, teaching-oriented.
Applicants who are foreign nationals should provide – in addition to the above-listed documents, a proof of Croatian language proficiency.
Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of the absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated in the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and achieve top score in the selection procedure.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting evidence in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, and there shall be no subsequent invitation to the concerned applicants to ammend them.
APPLICANT ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE:
Eligible applicants, who satisfy the formal terms and conditions of the Call, may be invited to take part in an interview within the framework of the selection process.
If invited, the applicants will receive a separate email invitation with the details regarding the time and place of the interview.
Any applicant who fails to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility under the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The submission deadline is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
