Job Description:

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in geography and environmental studies, including introduction to geospatial technologies, cartographic design and geovisualization, remote sensing, unoccupied aircraft systems (UAS) applications and geographic inquiry /research.
Develop an active, externally-funded research program.
Serve on MS (Geography) thesis committees.
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
Serve on Department Committees.
Other duties as determined and assigned by the Director of SEGS.
Advances inclusion of all people through publication, teaching and or service in academic or related settings.

Short Job Description:

PhD in Geography or related discipline from an accredited institution, with specialization in GIScience, awarded by August 14, 2026.
Ability to teach introductory geospatial technologies, cartographic design, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and UAS applications.
Ability to conduct research using geospatial technologies (GIscience and UAS).
