Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs serves as a senior strategic leader responsible for advancing the College of Sciences and Engineering as a premier engine of discovery, innovation, and graduate education. This role is central to establishing a globally competitive, innovation-driven research enterprise.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy aligned with the College's mission, vision, and growth priorities.
- Provide executive oversight of all graduate programs.
- Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with industry, federal agencies, national laboratories, and academic institutions.
- Promote integration of undergraduate and graduate students into the research enterprise.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and institutional requirements.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant STEM discipline for appointment as tenured Associate/Full Professor
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in research.
