About The Role

Egrove Park, Kennington and Park End Street and Hayes House, Oxford

Grade 9: £56,623 - £65,336 per annum including the Oxford University Weighting of £1,730 per annum

Fixed-term (to 31 August 2027), full time (37.5 hours per week)

Are you a motivated and strategic leader with a passion for supporting small businesses? Do you have exceptional operational and stakeholder management skills? Saïd Business School is seeking an Associate Director to play a key role in the delivery and growth of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK (10KSB) Programme.

The Associate Director will work closely with the Programme Director to oversee the operational excellence, strategic alignment and stakeholder engagement of the 10KSB Programme. This position plays a crucial role in managing relationships with the Goldman Sachs Foundation and other key stakeholders while ensuring the programme delivers its intended impact to entrepreneurs across the UK.

This role will oversee programme execution and cross-team coordination, ensuring high standards of excellence that reflect the School’s reputation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Programme Director to align operational objectives with the programme’s grant goals.
  • Oversee programme logistics, participant engagement and administrative functions.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Goldman Sachs and the Programme Director to ensure the effective delivery of the core programme.
  • Lead and mentor the programme team, fostering collaboration and excellence in stakeholder engagement.

You will have strong experience in directing and managing operational delivery within complex programmes, demonstrating excellent organisational and project management skills while balancing competing priorities. You must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage senior stakeholders. A deep understanding of the entrepreneurial and small business sector, along with its challenges and opportunities, is essential.
