Associate Director of Stewardship, School of Arts & Sciences

Position Purpose

The Associate Director of Stewardship advances philanthropic engagement for the School of Arts & Sciences by ensuring donors are consistently and effectively informed of the use and impact of the initiatives they have supported. This role provides essential stewardship infrastructure to support donor trust, satisfaction, and long-term engagement. The Associate Director of Stewardship designs and delivers timely, accurate, and meaningful donor communications, builds and strengthens stewardship processes, and serves as a key partner to development colleagues, faculty, and staff to enhance the overall A&S donor experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five years of experience in Advancement, stewardship, donor relations, communications, or a related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
• Strong project management skills
• Strong technical literacy and comfort manipulating data; familiarity with Advance (or other similar databases)

Key Accountabilities

Stewardship Strategy, Reporting, and Donor Experience (60%)

Manages and executes a comprehensive stewardship program for donors who support the School of Arts & Sciences through endowed and current-use giving.

Data Integrity, Systems, and Process Improvement (40%)

Ensures accurate and consistent recording of stewardship activities in the institution’s advancement database.
