About the Role:
Flinders University’s College of Science and Engineering is seeking an innovative academic to join our team as an Associate Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Energy Grid Integration).
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of future-ready engineer graduates who will play a key role in Australia’s transition to a sustainable energy future. You will engage in high-quality teaching and research in the areas of power systems and renewable energy, with a particular focus on energy grid integration, which is a field critical to advancing energy security and decarbonisation.
In this position, you will:
- Deliver and evaluate teaching materials and strategies across electrical and electronic engineering topics, including placement education.
- Support research and evaluation activities relevant to energy grid integration.
- Contribute to curriculum development, topic coordination, and student engagement initiatives.
This position is open to interstate candidates and relocation support is available.
About You:
You are a motivated academic with experience in electrical and electronic engineering, a passion for teaching, and a developing research profile in electrical power systems and renewable energy. You are comfortable working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and engaging with students, staff, and industry partners.
You will also demonstrate:
- A minimum of four years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience in an area of electrical and electronic engineering (Level A) or completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification in an area of electrical and electronic engineering (Level B)
- Evidence of successful teaching, training, mentoring, or supervision of students to maximise their learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated research and/or evaluation experience in electrical and electronic engineering, with a focus on power systems and renewable energy.
- An understanding of curriculum review processes and accreditation requirements within higher education.
