Associate Lecturer - Studio MA Architecture (0.1 FTE, Fixed term) School of Architecture
Join a world-leading postgraduate art and design institution and contribute to shaping the future of architectural practice and education.
The School of Architecture, led by Dr. Adrian Lahoud, provides an intellectually rich and culturally dynamic context for postgraduate study in London—one of the world's most vibrant cities for design & the creative industries. We offer an immersive, project-based learning environment where students engage in live projects and work alongside artists, designers, and leading practitioners to expand the material, conceptual, & technical potential of their practice.
We are currently seeking passionate and committed Associate Lecturers (ALs) to join the School of Architecture. ALs bring deep professional expertise and creative insight to our design studios, helping students to critically shape their own practices and prepare for impactful careers.
This appointment is for co-teaching an architectural design studio that examines the role of making in the architectural design process, not only as a method for prototyping and developing architectural language, but also as ways of reading, questioning, and transforming place. Student projects will focus on the analysis and transformation of highly sensitive and culturally rich found conditions through the lens of material experimentation. The studio explores how digital tools and new technologies can change our relationships with material practice and enable a critical re-engagement with place, locality and intangible cultural heritage.
We welcome applicants to join existing Architectural Design Studios (ADS) or propose new studio briefs. While studios typically teach in teams of 2–3, applicants must apply individually—please indicate if you are applying with a partner or wish to be paired.
