The School of Nursing, University of Wollongong is identified as a provider of high-quality professional education and contributing to the generation and dissemination of knowledge within a research-intensive university. The Bachelor of Nursing program is offered at six delivery sites including, Wollongong, Liverpool, Sutherland, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley. In addition, we have an expansive post graduate portfolio with degrees in Nursing, Mental health, Dementia Care and Health Leadership and Management. The School has an expansive research agenda. Our research agenda has six foci: Clinical Excellence, Mental Health, Ageing, Primary Health, Person-Centred Practice and Teaching and Learning under the leadership of excellent researchers.

We’re seeking two enthusiastic and committed Associate Lecturers to join the School of Nursing in teaching intensive roles. In these positions, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high quality undergraduate education, supporting Work Integrated Learning (WIL), leading practical classes, and conducting clinical assessments within our simulated learning environments. You will also contribute to scholarly activities that advance contemporary nursing education and practice.

About You

You’re a registered nurse in Australia who meets NMBA recency requirements with at least three recent years of clinical experience in an Australian healthcare setting. You hold a postgraduate nursing qualification (or equivalent expertise) and have a track record of delivering engaging, high-quality teaching in both small and large group settings. You communicate clearly, work well with colleagues and industry partners and are committed to creating culturally safe, inclusive learning environments grounded in EEO and diversity principles.

• Registered as a Nurse in Australia, evidence of meeting NMBA recency of practice registration standard http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Registration-Standards.aspx 
• At least three-years of recent clinical nursing experience in Australian healthcare settings
