Associate Professor/Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology at CUMC (Director of Hematopathology)
The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University is seeking a Director of Hematopathology at the Associate Professor or Professor level. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and certification or eligibility in Hematopathology are requirements for this position. Teaching and communication skills are essential. Applicants must hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree and be able to obtain a NYS medical license.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert diagnostic services in hematopathology.
- Oversee and manage hematopathology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor faculty, trainees while contributing to education through teaching of residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care and multidisciplinary initiatives.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO or MD/PhD (or equivalent medical degree).
- Board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) with subspecialty certification in Hematopathology (American Board of Pathology)
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of New York.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and a strong record of scholarly productivity in research.

Hiring Salary Range: $305,000 to $420,000
Associate Professor at CUMC: $305,000 to $370,000
Professor at CUMC: $315,000 to $420,000
The compensation range does not include the generous benefits program, and there is significant potential for additional incentive payments based on productivity and quality measures.
