St. Catherine University and the MA Occupational Therapy Department invite applications for a full-time, 12-month contract.
Faculty in the Graduate Occupational Therapy Programs are responsible for the teaching and learning of students in the MAOT and OTD Entry Level Programs. In addition to teaching and learning, faculty are expected to participate in scholarship and service to the department, the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences, the Graduate College, the University, the profession of occupational therapy, and the community. Faculty must have documented expertise in their areas of teaching responsibility and knowledge of content delivery methods as well as expertise necessary to ensure appropriate curriculum design, content delivery, and program evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, teaches, evaluates and revises course content to reflect evidence-based practice and most current knowledge in the field.
- Carries out excellence in teaching and advising with a diverse student population.
- Develops and demonstrates learner-centered strategies.
- Collaborates with other faculty to teach in areas of content expertise.
- Designs, teaches, evaluates, and revises course content and learning experiences in assigned courses to promote student learning.
- Adheres to the defined grading procedures and standards in accordance with the grading policies of the University.
- Establishes positive relationships with students to promote their success.
- Models professional attitudes and behaviors.
- Provides prompt, quality feedback and advising to students.
- Refers students to support services as appropriate.
- Attends events to orient, support, celebrate, and/or reward student activities.
- Establishes office hours to accommodate student needs
- Developing and carrying out scholarly activities in collaboration with faculty, students, and the community in an area of interest in alignment with departmental scholarship agenda.
- Engages in professional development activities that strengthens expertise and enhances ability to fulfill responsibilities as a faculty member.
- Produces scholarship that is shared with external audiences through peer-reviewed publication and/or presentation beyond the University and local levels.
- Actively participates on departmental and program committees. Some activities may include recruitment, orientation, and advising activities according to the Graduate OT Programs and University requirements.
- Participates in University-wide activities such as commencement ceremonies, convocations, faculty meetings and hearings, and faculty development events.
- Participation on University-wide or Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences elected or ad hoc committees and task forces.
- Develops and implements professional goals that contribute to the achievement of the goals and strategic plan of the department and University.
- Contributes to a positive working climate in the department and University.
- Collaborates and consults with other departments and programs in the University as appropriate.
- Provides service to the profession through membership in state and national professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree is required from an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
- Initially certified occupational therapist with licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an occupational therapist in Minnesota.
- Demonstrated expertise in assigned areas of teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some post baccalaureate level teaching experience is preferred
- Clinical experience preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.

Compensation: $91,356 - $101,506.67 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
