Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor – Educator in Behavior Analysis. This is a 12-month per year, full-time educator position with teaching and service responsibilities. Although teaching responsibilities will be online, the position requires work on campus in Cincinnati. In person work will include faculty meetings and service on University committees.

Essential Functions

  • Teaching graduate coursework in behavior analysis online, including courses on topics such as but not limited to ethics, concepts and principles of behavior analysis, behavioral research methods, functional behavioral assessment, behavioral intervention, and supervision.
  • Supervising student field experiences and culminating projects, including collaboration with field supervisors and settings both locally and remotely. Travel to field experience sites will not be required.
  • Advising graduate students
  • Contributing to program development within Behavior Analysis, including but not limited to accreditation efforts.
  • Engaging in university, professional, and community service, including but not limited to serving on search committees, scholarship review committees, reappointment, promotion, and tenure review committees, and service on workgroups of professional organizations.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to effective date of appointment, all of the following:

  • Doctorate in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Experience teaching one graduate course in behavior analysis, which could have been as a teaching assistant.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience implementing behavioral practices in roles such as behavior analyst, intervention specialist, behavior therapist, or behavior technician.

Required Education: Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position. For positions within Performing and Studio Arts or Nursing, an appropriate Master’s degree may replace the Doctoral requirement.

Required Experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research evidenced by strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates for a tenured appointment should demonstrate intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential significant contributions to the department, University of Cincinnati, and wider scholarly community.
