Athletic Academic Mentor - Non-Student

This part-time position requires academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self-regulated learning.

Position Summary: Assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors by providing supplemental support. This part-time position requires academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self-regulated learning. Pay is $15 per 1-hour mentor session.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide individual & small group tutoring to student-athletes in assigned subjects within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Percentage of time: 40

Assist students in improving academic achievement in weekly meetings that clarify concepts, enhance study skills, and review class materials within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
