About the Division of Infrastructure and Commercial
The Division of Infrastructure and Commercial facilitates a strategic approach to planning, development and ongoing maintenance of the Universitys built infrastructure, properties, and commercial activities. Working in partnership with all areas of the University community, the Division ensures the strategic development and maintenance of the network of campuses and property estate to support the Universitys learning, teaching and research activities and preserves and enhances the unique aesthetics of the campuses.
The Division manages the sustainability agenda in line with the University’s vision and maintains a safe and healthy environment for those that use our campuses.
About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within the Commercial Services and Governance team for a Commercial Services Coordinator to join the team.
The Commercial Services Coordinator is responsible for the provision of high-level support to the Senior Manager, Commercial Services, in developing and implementing strategies to increase commercial utilisation of University spaces, and for management of Venue and Space Hire arrangements for both internal and external clients.
The position provides strategic input into the design, development, and implementation of business improvements. The position is responsible for supporting the implementation of changes identified and will assist in drafting key communication documents such as executive papers, discussion papers and business cases.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Western’s Hawkesbury Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a dynamic individual with a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in business management, analysis, communications, or project management. The ideal candidate will excel in data analysis, report writing, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively manage competing priorities. They should demonstrate exceptional written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. They will also have experience in handling confidential information, exercising sound judgment, and demonstrating strong negotiation and diplomacy skills is essential. A proven capacity for commercial acumen, including the ability to read, interpret, and negotiate commercial contracts, is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate with have proven experience in supervising, coaching and developing a team.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $117,645 to $126,892 p.a. (comprising Salary of $99,411 to $107,225 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
