- 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum

About the role
The Coordinator (University Secretariat) has a key role in providing advice and high-level support to the Senior Manager (University Secretary), the Director Governance & University Secretary, the Council the Academic Board and relevant Committees. The position forms part of the Secretariat Team.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Specialist expertise in the education sector;
- Demonstrated experience in governance and providing high level support to senior executives and Board members. This involves using initiative, discretion and tact, while maintaining confidentiality;
- Ability to plan activities and review current practices in line with continuous improvement principles;
- High level organisational skills, including the ability to work under strict deadlines. Managing multiple competing programs of works;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; and
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
About the Group
The Governance Division supports and enables governance at UNE. The Division encompasses the Office of the Director Governance and University Secretary, the University Secretariat, Internal Audit and Records Policy and Governance Unit.
The University Secretariat, under the direction of the Director Governance & University Secretary, provides administrative support to the University's most senior decision-making and advisory boards in accordance with the University of New England Act 1993 and the strategic goals and objectives of the University.
The Secretariat works closely with the Chancellor, Councillors, Chair of Academic Board, Vice- Chancellor and Senior Executive of the University and with the University's Controlled Entities. The team provides a link between key Governance Bodies and Management, and enables and administers the business of Council and Academic Board (Board) and Committees and supports the functions of UNE Controlled Entities boards.
