Bioinfo-Comput Biologist Inter
The bioinformatician will be responsible for performing integrative analysis of large, multi-omics data sets from humans and from animal models. They will lead the modification of existing bioinformatic approaches and develop new tools for data analysis. The individual should be familiar with R or Python-based tools to analyze these data sets. The bioinformatician should be able to interpret the data and create visuals to transmit the information orally and via written documents. They should be able to work with students and teach approaches to data analysis to learners. The person will lead others in the analysis of large data in a consortium setting, MoTrPAC. MoTrPAC has collected millions of pieces of clinical and molecular data from thousands of individuals and animal models. This role works closely with the PI in overseeing the analysis of a significant portion of the data.
Required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. PhD or equivalent with experience in multi-omic data analysis.
