Biology Assistant or Associate Professor, Cell or Physiology
The Biological Science department at Mississippi College (MC), a small liberal arts institution, has an outstanding pre-medical program with approximately 300 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The biology facility has outstanding research equipment for student research, e.g. EEG, florescent microscopes, flow cytometer, thermal cyclers, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) with fNIRS cap, CO2 incubator, and biosafety hood for culture of mammalian cell lines. The department emphasizes collegiality and fosters a low stress work place. Clinton MS is a small quiet community 10 miles west of Jackson, MS.
The department is looking for an assistant or associate professor whose area of expertise is Cell Biology or Physiology. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Cell Biology or Physiology. Involving undergraduates in research is expected. Applicants must be of Christian faith.
INBRE Grant money of up to $100,000 may be available to start your research.
