Budget Analyst
The Budget Analyst serves as the primary administrator for the lifecycle of EHRA (Exempt from the State Human Resources Act) position budgets at UNCG. This role ensures the fiscal integrity of all state and non-state funded EHRA positions by managing position control within the Banner HR/Finance systems, overseeing salary increase processes, and maintaining compliance with University, UNC System, and State guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Mid- to late-career with Master’s degree and 2 – 4 yrs experience; or Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 yrs experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For candidates with a degree in an unrelated field, a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience in position control, budget management or salary administration is preferred.
- All qualifying experience must be within a higher education or public sector environment to ensure familiarity with complex fund accounting and regulatory compliance.
- Significant hands-on experience and familiarity with the Banner ERP system (specifically HR and Finance modules) and in managing university position data.
