Financial staff strive to be consistent partners within the University of Michigan Library in Ann Arbor by delivering timely and adequate financial support to each division and across the library. The Budget Analyst Intermediate will support the economic and business functions for the Publishing division. As a member of the Publishing division, they will provide financial analysis, reconciliations, policy interpretation, royalty processing, procurement, and financial reporting. The Budget Analyst will also be experienced in the conventions and practices of revenue accounting. The work requires a willingness to learn about the publishing industry to serve the business intelligence and accounting needs of both internal and external clients.

The Budget Analyst works closely with the Director of Business and Administration, Library Finance colleagues, and other University financial areas.

• Knowledge and experience within the publishing industry.

The expected schedule for this position is from 8am-5pm ET, Monday-Friday. This work schedule may be modified based on operational needs.

This position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change, depending on the business needs of the hiring department, throughout the course of employment.
