Mō te tūka | The role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll help shape the university’s digital landscape by connecting people, processes, and technology. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand challenges, uncover opportunities, and deliver practical insights that drive meaningful change. You’ll also support key technology projects, ensuring solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and enhance both academic and administrative outcomes.
Some tasks of the role include:
Collaborating across teams to translate strategic goals into clear technical requirements
Analysing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
Facilitating engagement and negotiation across diverse stakeholder groups
Producing high‑quality documentation including user stories, process flows and specifications
Supporting the delivery of technology projects and contributing to system testing
Staying up to date with industry trends to drive continuous improvement

This permanent role is based at our Lincoln Campus and works 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE). Due to the nature of the work, the role is based primarily on‑campus. Some work‑from‑home flexibility may be available when required as agreed with the line manager.
The salary for this position is $95,000 – $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

To be successful in the role you will have:
Extensive business analysis experience (5+ years) with strong knowledge of BA tools and methodologies
Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving and requirements‑gathering capabilities
Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills
Sound technical understanding and experience with tools such as Microsoft 365, Visio and Jira
Experience working within Agile or software development environments
A collaborative, adaptable and customer‑focused approach, with strong attention to detail
