As a Business Support Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in advancing the Melbourne Defence Enterprise's objectives. You will coordinate daily operations, manage stakeholder relationships, and support strategic initiatives within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. This role offers you the chance to develop your organisational skills, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to impactful defence-related projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide High-Level Administrative Support: Manage meeting schedules, prepare agendas, and support project coordination for MDE leaders.
- Coordinate Operations: Oversee daily administrative tasks, facilitate communication between MDE, the Faculty, and the University.
- Financial Management: Run financial reports, process invoices, and assist with budget development and financial discrepancies.
- Event Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of workshops, seminars, and outreach activities including trade shows and exhibits, ensuring seamless event delivery.

You possess strong organisational and communication skills, enjoy working independently, and have a knack for managing complex administrative tasks while fostering stakeholder relationships.
You may also:
- Have completed an undergraduate qualification or possess equivalent experience in a related field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office, with experience in databases and financial systems.
- Excel in managing competing demands with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Have experience in event coordination and providing administrative support to senior staff.
- Be adept at liaising with diverse stakeholders and exercising independent judgement.
