Salary: $96,410 – 103,442. Annual compensation for this position is based on relevant education and experience and will be set within the listed salary range.

Position Purpose
Under limited direction, the Business Systems Analyst works with partner departments to support system implementations, enhance workflows, and advance digital transformation across the Academy. This role contributes to reporting and data initiatives, explores opportunities to apply emerging and AI-enabled technologies, and helps improve the user experience through technology-driven solutions. The Analyst also provides functional, technical, and analytical support for student-related applications, ensuring data accuracy, effective issue resolution, and alignment with Academy policies, data governance standards, and strategic priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partner departments on system implementation and enhancement projects, reviewing workflows and recommending technology-driven solutions.
- Support application updates, testing, release reviews, and communication of system changes to partner departments.
- Deliver reporting and data support, including exploring innovative ways to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance reporting, analysis, and data-driven decision-making using various reporting tools.
- Research emerging trends and transformative technologies, including AI, and assess their potential to improve systems, streamline business processes, and enhance the user experience.
- Participate in pilot efforts involving transformative or AI-enabled technologies to identify practical applications for campus use and help promote adoption strategies across campus.
- Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, test plans, support plans, SOPs, and other technical documentation.
- Provide functional and technical support for student systems and partner with the Student Systems Analysts to ensure continuity across all student-facing systems.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate support for application issues within student systems, supervising SaaS provider support efforts as needed.
- Maintain a strong understanding of student system data, how it is captured, how it flows across systems, and how changes may impact downstream processes.
- Support data security and data quality practices to ensure alignment with strategic and data governance standards, escalating questions to the Information Security Officer as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience with various systems and reporting platforms (Slate, Blackbaud applications, Informer, Tableau, or other) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teammates and clients by building trust and credibility.
- Experience in an institutional or campus setting
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Successfully complete a criminal background check (reviewed every 5 years).
- Clean Driving record (reviewed annually).
