Cancer Biology Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
The Department of Urology at the Henry Ford Health System is seeking a highly motivated, energetic post-doctoral research fellow to work on a novel mechanism of cancer drug resistance in a modern, state-of-the-art working facility. This post-doctoral position is funded by the United States Federal Grants to study mechanisms of signal transduction, oncogene regulation, and development of new target-based therapeutics using prostate, lung, breast, and pancreatic cancer as models. The successful candidate is expected to apply biochemical and molecular biological techniques (Western blot, RT-PCR, IHC, Gene expression) and gene knockout mice models to investigate the role of Tribbles 2 oncogene in the development and progression of aggressive and drug-resistant cancers. Prior experience in drug testing using cell culture as well as various orthotopic, transgenic, and patient-derived xenograft models will be a plus. Applicants having extensive experience in signal transduction research and handling of small laboratory animals for therapeutic development will be preferred. Qualified candidates, please respond by sending a comprehensive CV with names and contacts of three referees to Dr. J. Ghosh, Department of Urology, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, Michigan, USA.
