Student Assistant 2 - Wooster Campus Grounds
Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees.
Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment.
Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role.
Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
Under supervision of the Wooster Campus Grounds Manager, employee weeds landscaped beds, tree circles, and building foundations; prunes water sprouts; mulches trees and shrubs; picks up fallen limbs, trash, debris from campus streets and grounds; operates front deck mounted and zero turn mowers to mow turf areas, string trimmers, and backpack blowers; plants, waters and fertilizes floral displays; cleans building work areas and equipment; provides assistance to full time employees in projects; other duties as assigned. Students are able to work up 28 hours during the academic year (non federal work study) and 38 hours during the summer break.
