Position Summary
Michigan State University Counseling and Psychiatric Services (MSU CAPS) is excited to announce that it is accepting applications for its Post-Doctoral Residency/Post-Internship Clinical Fellow in Health Service Psychology. MSU CAPS has a long history of clinical training and at its core is a training program focused on multiculturalism and social justice, honoring differing experiences and the multiple ways of knowing. We are committed to helping develop the next generation health service psychologists who are willing to foster self-reflective practice along with cultural humility.
This position will provide services and receive training in multiculturally-focused, inclusive, collaborative, and integrated mental health environment. Resident/Fellow will engage in both experiential and didactic training that provide them expertise in working in collegiate mental health as well as a variety of other careers. Candidates may have the opportunity to choose from concentration areas to develop specific expertise in those areas. Each of the following concentration areas may be available for the applicant to select from upon acceptance of the offer: Complex Trauma Assessment and Intervention; LGBTQ Empowerment, Identity, Development and Affirming Care; Multicultural Engagement and Outreach; Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Required Degree
Masters -Professional Psychology
Desired Degree
Doctorate -Professional Psychology
Minimum Requirements
Consistent with the State of Michigan licensing eligibility for psychologists, applicants must be enrolled in or have graduated a doctoral training program in clinical or counseling psychology that has been 1. regionally accredited or approved by the board of psychology; 2. has obtained ASPPB/National Register designation or has been accredited by the American Psychological Associated or Canadian Psychological Association, or by a similar entity approved by the Michigan Board of Psychology. If a post-internship applicant, you must currently be enrolled in a doctoral training program consistent with the above described and have “all but dissertation” status.

Special Instructions
Remote work expectations: This position allows for up to two (2) days remote and three (3) days on-site in East Lansing, MI.
