Description

The Yale Psychology Department is pleased to announce a Postdoctoral Associate position in honor of Professor Susan Nolen-Hoeksema that has been endowed by her husband, Richard Nolen-Hoeksema. Each Susan Nolen-Hoeksema Postdoctoral Associate in Integrative Psychology is for a one-year initial appointment, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Eligible applicants must have a PhD in Psychology or a related field by the start date. Applications in any area of psychology are encouraged, especially from candidates with research interests that are integrative across areas and levels of analysis and applicable to one or more domains of psychopathology or its treatment (i.e., areas in which Professor Nolen-Hoeksema took special interest). Applicants for the initial position, to begin July 1, 2026, should identify one or more Yale faculty members with whom they desire to work during the term of the appointment and include a research statement (three pages max, excluding references), curriculum vitae, two writing samples, and letters of recommendation from two to three individuals familiar with the applicant’s research background and promise. The research statement should describe your research interests, summarize prior research experiences, skills, and achievements, and describe future directions and goals for postdoctoral training. We will continue to review applications until the position is filled, but for full consideration, please submit all materials by February 1, 2026. These materials can be uploaded via Interfolio (https://apply.interfolio.com/178435) and addressed to the Co-Chairs of the Susan Nolen-Hoeksema Fellowship Committee, Shirley Wang and Julia Leonard.
