Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Career Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in guiding students through their career development journey, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to achieve their professional goals. This position requires strong communication skills, a background in education or counseling, and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Duties

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist students in exploring career options and developing job search strategies.
• Educate students on resume writing, interview techniques, and networking skills.
• Utilize systems such as CampusVue for managing student records and tracking progress.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify student needs and provide tailored support.
• Engage in public speaking events to promote career services and workshops.
• Mentor students through the recruiting process, including job fairs and employer networking events.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of job market trends and employer expectations to effectively guide students.
• Develop and implement programs that enhance student engagement in career planning activities.

Experience

• Proven experience working with students in an educational or counseling setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CampusVue systems is a plus.
• Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
• Experience in recruiting or mentoring is beneficial for providing comprehensive support to students.
• A background in individual and group counseling techniques is essential for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
